EXPLORE OKALOOSA ISLAND
Okaloosa Island is a narrow three-mile island between the cities of Fort Walton Beach and Destin, Florida. Also recognized as Santa Rosa Island, it supports sandy white beach and a portion is part of the Gulf Islands National Seashore. The island serves as a barrier between Choctawhatchee Bay and the Gulf of Mexico and is home to many species of wildlife. Okaloosa Island also has several public beach accesses and parks. Relax on the calm of the island with your beach chairs and floats between 8 AM and Sunset.
